Esther and Ángel

Two different ways of being in the world. One shared project.

The first time we set foot in Kerala together, something moved. We could not tell you exactly why.

We are Esther and Ángel. We started AGAMAPAI to share that way of travelling: unhurried, with local families we know, and with room to improvise.

Esther Gómez

Co-founder · Yoga, coaching and ayurveda

Co-founder of AGAMAPAI and one of your hosts for the whole trip. Yoga teacher, coach and ayurveda practitioner. Curious, resourceful, optimistic and, by nature, drawn to people and their stories. After several journeys through India she learned to hold both the beauty and the difficulty of travelling. She loves to listen and to make a space where honest conversation can come up on its own, where being heard — or seeing a thing from another angle — makes the hard moments sit a little more lightly.

Ángel Márquez Seguí

Co-founder · Yoga, meditation and massage

Teacher of Hatha, Yin and Nidra yoga, Thai massage practitioner and cook. His presence is the first thing people notice: calm, unhurried, the kind that settles a group without a word being said. When stress turns up, he is the one who brings the room back down. He likes silence, he looks after the details and the food, and he shapes each experience so it has room to breathe.

The ammonite: each experience holds up the next.

The ammonite, with its spiral of chambers, is our symbol of movement and of evolution over time: layer upon layer, the road already walked. Every earlier experience is the chamber that holds up the next one.

There are times to open outward and times to turn back in: our two Experiences are one half that pushes outward and one that turns inward.

We call each other MAEs — companions on the road. It is an everyday word between friends, and we like it because the road makes more sense when we walk it side by side. We teach and we keep learning: knowing something does not put us above anyone, and we do not need to reach the same answers to share the same questions.

The AGAMAPAI ammonite, a spiral growing outward and never returning to the same point.

Between one practice and the next there is also a long table, laughter, the sea and naps: sometimes living is enough. If that lands with you, write to us and let’s talk.

Shall we meet?
